Fine Art

FINE ART
This project was based on a certain artist you got given and i got Christian Boltanski.
I had to create something based on his work. Heres my sketchbook pages.

I didn't finish this as i missed alot of lessons and we had so little time.

This was the object i got given and it was a torch.

Brainstorm of questions to help me with the process.

My idea was based on Boltanski and my torch so i came up with the idea of using these
famous dead peoples faces and projecting them onto the wall. I chose these people
because they are really famous and boltanski used missing/dead people.
I didnt get round to making this but hopefully i will :)

TEXTILES

Textiles Sketchbook.
The brief for textiles was to create a 'secret pocket' for a secret agent.
This project was abit confusing but i think i got there in the end! :-)

Artist research.

Paper pocket samples and pocket brainstorm.

My fabric samples based on my theme of  'Time'.

Health and Safety when using a sewing machine and my line drawings for my fabric samples.

This is my final pocket i made which has one of my fabric samples in it.
I sewn 2 buttons on for a 'secret compartment' which could hide something in it.

Digital Media

DIGITAL MEDIA
These are the pages from my sketchbook on digital media.

This is my Zoetrope, it was a basic idea to see how it would turn out.
It extends longer but i couldn't fit it into the picture.

This is my flipbook i created. Very simple but i think it worked well :)

3D work and sketchbook

3D SKETCHBOOK AND WORK

This is the first page of my sketchbook and its natural forms drawings.
The 3D project was based on natural forms.
I had a sheet which I drawn these images from and then put them
into my sketchbook.

Here's some research on the artist Kate Malone, who works with clay
to create these lovely pieces of clay pottery. I got two of her pottery and anaylsed them.
I have written "These are two pieces of kate malones art. It would take a long
time to make these ceramics. She uses clay and moulds these types of objects to create
interesting ceramics. I love her work because she turns foods into great pieces of pottery
and you can tell sstraight away what they are."

Clarice cliff.
I have written "This is one of clarice cliff's pieces of artwork. To make this she used glass
which is a good material for pottery because its stong. I like her work because
she uses bright colours which makes it stand out from the other pottery and it makes it interesting
to look at. I love how she uses random shapes and it creates a masterpiece"

"I like this piece because it really stands out and she has used good use of colour to bring out each of the shapes. I like how she fits it in the style of Art Deco."
